here is a true story you can take as you like:

wife of a friend of mine wife work at a massive poultry farm in worcester. few years ago they picked up avian flu in the chickens...

what did they do next?
within a few minutes they locked the gates. nobody could go home to get any toiletry or whatever. they killed every single chicken. put up tents and beds for staff to live and provided catering and televisions sets and whatnot.
the wife of my fried stayed inside the poultry farm for a month. they could wave at family from the gate and speak on the phone . they also burnt all the clothes of all the staff and provided them with over-alls and things to wear for that time
i know we in a climate where people on the couch knows better.. or they reading media that tell them it is a conspirecy.. but if one of the biggest chicken farms in SA will go to that length to prevent a animal-to-human virus situation then maybe there is something to it !
my friend see the tweet and send me a message. he say it was a H5 N8 flu. and it cost more than R25 million rand that it cost the company ! now why will someone go to that length and have that dramatic protocol in place if they just get a sniff of something... hey guys? hey?
