Race and class can't fully explain why metro Detroit is getting hit so hard by coronavirus.

Detroit has 469 deaths, while Baltimore only has 29 deaths.

The cities are similar in size & demographics. Detroit (690k) & Baltimore (590k) are both black-majority, with high poverty.

Even the largely white & higher income Detroit suburb of Livonia has more coronavirus deaths, 62, than Baltimore, 29.
