Today we remember Ferley Stilton Cruise (May 8 1929 - April 11 2020). Born in Spanish Town #Jamaica, he came to the UK in 1953. We remember how hard he worked for decades in engineering in #Leeds and Canada. đź“· Gerald Donne
We remember Ferley Stilton Cruise's activism. A founder of the The Afro Caribbean Brotherhood, we remember how he fought for the equal education of black children, and insisted they knew their history.
We remember photos of his sister and his best friend in our #EulogyProject exhibition sparked something in dementia faded memories. We can't send him home, hear his eulogy or sing How Great Thou Art at his graveside like we do. But we will never forget Mr Ferley Stilton Cruise 🙏🏾
