So, I'm sure at some point you've heard some version of "the yearly flu is more deadly that the coronavirus."

I knew this couldn't be right since a lot of those people were Fox News trash or their demo. But, I was curious what the actual numbers were, so I looked them up.
INFLUENZA - U.S. estimated cases & deaths
(Annual average from 2010 - 2019, Uncertainty Index)

Symptomatic Cases: 25,891,542 - 35,777,299
Deaths: 30,593 - 54,296
Mortality rate: 0.118 - 0.151%

Source: CDC https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/index.html
Coronavirus is 28 to 37 times more deadly than the annual flu in America.

But, these same folk usually double down by saying, "So what? COVID-19 has infected far fewer people, so what if a few more of that smaller group die?

1) The people arguing this are trash.
4) Stay-at-home orders have been implemented nationally and across the globe to limit the spread. Without these both the confirmed cases and deaths would be much higher.
Also if my math/thought process is incorrect, would someone smarter than me please let me know?
