So I don't know what's going on with your impersonator or whatever, but I do need to correct you on some of the bullshit you're posting. You shouldn't speak so confidently about things you aren't educated on. https://twitter.com/RealSteveCox/status/1250324163350245379
1. The Socialist Rifle Association is not an antifa group. We are politically anti-fascist and stand in solidarity with anti-fascist action groups, but we do not participate in street rallies or armed demonstrations ourselves. We are an education and advocacy group.
2. Antifa in the US has been around since the mid-2000s. Rose City Antifa was founded in 2007. A simple google search would tell you this. RCA and most other early antifa groups were part of the Anti-Racist Action (ARA) network, which was started in 1987.
3. ARA has been kicking neo-nazi ass alongside SHARP since the 80s, and most of its membership is/was also active in activist and protest scenes since long before Trump. The shift from ARA to Antifa has been a progression of tactics and branding, but they are all the same lineage
4. Most active ARA chapters had rebranded to Antifa and adopted the new tactics of the movement by 2014. Antifa was active countering alt-right and identitarian demonstrations in 2015 and 2016, well before the election.
5. The adoption of black bloc tactics from European antifa groups, as well as improvements to security culture and the tactic of limited escalation, as well as an improved political critique tying racism to capitalism, were the primary innovations of Antifa vs ARA
6. A12 in Charlottesville, and an attempted murder with a firearm by a racist couple at a Portland event in 2017, led to the widespread acceptance and adoption of firearms within Antifa tactics. >90% of Antifa actions have likely had an armed presence since 2017.
7. Most Antifa actions and demonstrations today include an open carry presence by groups such as Redneck Revolt, John Brown Gun Club, or Huey P Newton Gun Club. These groups do not engage in violence, but demonstrate willingness to use disciplined lethal force against aggression.
8. Many Antifa actions also include concealed carriers, depending on local laws, either within or alongside the bloc, to act as immediate responders to attempted mass shootings by fascists. If a fascist draws on the bloc, they will soon be under accurate, disciplined return fire.
9. Antifa groups also train in emergency first aid and gunshot treatment, and street medics and first responders both within and without the bloc will be equipped with tourniquets, bandages, chest seals, etc. to tend to anyone injured by a firearm at a demonstration.
10. Antifa is not an aggressive, offensive street fighting force. Antifa responds to fascist demonstrations with equal force, with escalated force held in reserve. If fash are unarmed, the bloc will be unarmed. If fash have melee weapons, the bloc will have melee weapons.
11. Antifa does not escalate violence, it meets the fash where they're at with the same level of violence they initiate, no more. But they do retain the option to respond to escalation. Again, if a fash draws a gun, there will probably be Antifa concealed carriers to respond.
12. In summary, @realstevecox, shut the fuck up about things you know nothing about. No investigation, no right to speak.
