Issues faced by investors in stopping SIPs

SEBI had asked AMFI to advise all AMCs to introduce a facility on their website allowing investors to stop SIPs.

..we seek info from most fund houses, especially bigger mutual funds like @hdfcmf & @SBIMF if they have complied. In case they have, what provisions have been made? If not, by when would it be done? Sadly, Investors are complaining.

We hope @amfiindia & @SEBI_India shall note.

This is not the time to preach why SIP should not be stopped. This is the time to empathise with those, who, for obvious reasons, don’t have enough cashflow to invest or may not have lost the risk appetite given the tough conditions. This is the time to make things easy for them.

We want to encourage all the investors who are not getting enough support from fund houses to write their comments to this tweet. This shall help in asking better questions. @pvsubramanyam & @TheMFGuy1 what’s your experience?

There may be instances that a fund house may have this facility but it has not been properly informed to the investors or/and investor may face difficultly in locating link. In such cases, sending a simple email with exact details of the facility, would be so helpful. @amfiindia

We are told fund houses like @FTIIndia , @dspmf @NipponIndiaMF already have online facility to stop SIPs. @MotilalOswalAMC @EdelweissAMC @utimutualfund @ICICIPruMF @abcabslmf @QuantumAMC @lntmutualfund @KotakMF @MiraeAsset_IN @AxisMutualFund what about you?

Some investors have asked what recourse they have in case a fund house does not service their request over a long period of time. They can simply log on to https://www.scores.gov.in/scores/Welcome.html to lodge their complaint.
Though we hope the industry will act in the best interest of investors.
