Giants coach Joe Judge doesn't think he's at any disadvantage right now, being a new coach: "Look, I think the advantage goes to whoever is best prepared from this point forward. Everybody has changes to their system and will have the same challenge of communicating with players"
Joe Judge says his draft philosophy is about finding players with "long-term upside. ... None of them are ‘pro ready’. That’s why they go through growing pains as rookies. There are no short-term fixes in the draft. No one is a finished product."
Joe Judge points out a key difference between this year and 2011, when the NFL had no offseason program due to the lockout: “Travel wasn’t restricted. Players had the ability to go to a gym and work with trainers.” His 'top concern' is players being prepared when they return.:
Joe Judge: "We have technology that allows this to be very functional and productive. … I’m very confident that there’s no generation of players that have been more prepared for this offseason than the ones we’re dealing with now. They’re all technically savvy. "
As for the coaches, Joe Judge said "If the worst thing we’re dealing with is working out of our basement, we’ve got it pretty good."
Joe Judge is remarkably maintaining his ability to not name a single player on his roster, regardless of what question his asked and whether it's about a current player, his franchise QB, or a new free agent.
Joe Judge said the free agents they added were brought in for their ability, not anything else: "I don’t think we’re looking for players to come in and be ambassadors or raise the other players."
Joe Judge said since coaches can't evaluate prospects in person no, "We’ve had to rely on our contacts and people we trust."

So when you see a parade of Alabama players being drafted by the Giants ...
Joe Judge says he has a golden retriever who sits on the couch next to him in the basement “about 15 hours a day.”

“Right now she could probably tell you more about who we’re going to draft than anybody else.”

Good dog.
Joe Judge's message to Giants fans: "The biggest thing is beyond football. I hope everyone out there is safe, healthy and staying in good spirits. We’re doing our best to get the work done so you have something to watch and be proud of.”
