Natural Malefics will harm for placement/aspects wherever placed; for natural significations - good if well placed; and bad if badly placed (e.g. 3/6/8/12). However both natural benefics/malefics will gradually do well if in 3/6 (upachaya) houses for natural signfications.

Natural living significations flourish in H12(trika) - not all natural significations. Likewise natural benefics esp Jup in H8 hints at blessings from pitrus for protection. Please share your views/observations/experiences.

Functional benefic/malefics have role for both lordship effects and aspects/placements. Functional benefics - good results in good houses; bad in bad houses. Functional malefic bad in good houses and good in bad houses for lordship roles. For aspects, FM will afflict H/P aspected

IMO - Natural B/M do well in upachaya (3/6) for gradual good for natural significations - not for lordship effects. So upachaya house has multiple hats for lordship (through significator H8) and for gradual growth. Trika are bad for placement and lordship for karkatwa/lordship

Perhaps the only exception for Trika are lords of trika in trika houses do well ('-'+'-'='+'). Natural significations will always suffer for trika placements (H3/6 - gives gradually good results though). There are few exceptions and special treatments too.
