Can you share an interesting fact about your field?

Actually it doesn't have to be just sciences, it can be your job, the arts, humanities.

I just want to read anything that isn't grief, and learn some stuff while I'm at it.

Reading some of the replies from scientists in different fields is conclusive proof that we have no business acting like we can talk for other fields of science.
