The furlough scheme is a huge help with staff costs and is keeping many museums alive at the moment. But museums have lots of other costs - conservation, buildings, capital developments - that they simply can’t meet during this crisis. 3/
That’s why we need a specific scheme that supports charities through this period. Otherwise many of the organisations that people will want to return to after this crisis just won’t survive. 4/
In Scotland, a Third Sector Resilience Fund has been launched which – although small – is a step in the right direction. What about the rest of the UK?
