Dear twitter user @LittleMix y’all are sleeping on Sri Lankan food and let me show you why
I know y’all love food so here me out on this underrated cuisine that deserves so much more because it’s so good anytime
Let’s start off with the iconic food that is, Kottu. Kottu is a Sri Lankan dish made with cut pieces of rotti, tossed up with vegetables and egg, and if needed a meat of your choice. It’s spicy, full of flavors, a perfect dish to eat after a Night out with friends
These Sri Lankan foods are associated with the new year, which is celebrated in April. They’re called Kavum and Kokis. They’re some of the yummiest “Kavilis” , and you CANNOT stop at one
Pol sambol and lunu Miris ; are side dishes the former made with coconut and the latter with onions. These are really spicy and is often eaten with string hoppers, roast paan and hoppers.
