Sen. Alvarado now giving a speech criticizing Beshear for allowing abortions to continue at Louisville's EMW clinic during the pandemic.
Sen. Alvarado says Beshear is allowing abortions to continue in Kentucky because they "greased his palm" with campaign contributions.

Says the most dangerous place to be in Kentucky right now "is inside a mother's womb." #kyga20
Julie Raque Adams and other GOP Senators in the chamber give Sen. Alvarado an ovation after his speech attacking Beshear for allowing abortions to continue in Kentucky.
House now voting to override Beshear's line-item vetoes of HB 353, the Transportation budget bill. House already voted to override every line-item veto of HB 352, the one-year state budget bill. #kyga20
Senate A&R committee now meeting to discuss HB 32, the language of which is being mostly replaced.
Rep. Stan Lee, who is not running for reelection this year, is giving his goodbye speech in the House right now.
Stan Lee said he wanted to shake Rocky Adkins hand, but there's "an unnatural fear that's gripped everyone" right now. "We all seem to be cowering in our homes right now, and I think that's sad."
Stan Lee added that there's a danger of getting hit by a foul ball at a baseball game but that doesn't stop you from going.
I think he just snatched Gooch's #kyga20 crown from him.
Rep. Savannah Maddox now giving a House floor speech criticizing the effect of Beshear's emergency orders on Kentucky businesses.
Almost 100 protesters outside Capitol right now calling for an end to @GovAndyBeshear’s emergency COVID-19 orders and the reopening of businesses and mass gatherings. #kyga20
Meanwhile... it’s 5:00.
You can occasionally hear the whoops from the protesters outside in the room where @GovAndyBeshear is holding his daily COVID-19 briefing.
Some of the protesters’ signs:
Rep. Savannah Maddox spoke at the rally of around 100 people protesting Gov. Andy Beshear's emergency COVID-19 orders.
Erika Calihan spoke and called on businesses to open back up in defiance of @GovAndyBeshear's emergency COVID-19 order.
You can now loudly hear the protesters outside the room where Beshear is holding his COVID-19 briefing.....
Not sure if you can pick up the noise in this, but Beshear definitely hears (indecipherable) chants.
Beshear announces formal regional partnership with (GOP) governors of Ohio and Indiana.
It now sounds like chanting protesters got in the Capitol Building.
UofL President Bendapudi makes an appearance, announcing new testing program for health care worker testing.
Protesters loudly chanting “U-S-A” right outside window of @GovAndyBeshear presser. Someone has a megaphone and LOUD horn.
This is WILD
I almost can’t hear Beshear over protesters outside
Protesters are loudly chouting over Beshear as he announces the 88 new COVID-19 cases in Kentucky today. He's about to get to the deaths.... this is wild.
Besehar references protesters outside, saying "if we open up now, it would absolutely kill people"
As protesters should "you are not the king," Beshear solemnly announces that 7 more Kentuckians have died from COVID-19 today.
Have I mentioned yet that THIS IS WILD
Protesters chanting "facts over fear" as @GovAndyBeshear answers my Q on his message to the protesters. Again says people would die if businesses open today.
I could barely hear Beshear's answer over the megaphone and chanting and horns right outside the window where he is holding this briefing.
Beshear referencing Sen. Schickel's suggestion that nursing homes should reopen to visitors, he says that would "ravage" them, noting 256 residents have now tested positive and 36 have died.

As Beshear talks about today's COVID-19 deaths and new measures to expand testing for health care workers, it sounds like a big party outside with horns and hollers from the protesters. #kyga20
You can detect the pure joy in the protesters' voices that they disrupt Beshear's COVID-19 briefing.
KSP guard are the door told me his superiors said to not mess with the protesters as long as they remain outside and don’t try to enter the Capitol Building, which General public is currently prohibited from entering due to COVID-19 emergency.
Another short video from inside Beshear’s briefing room earlier tonight, just to show how loud it was as he gave COVID-19 updates on testing, cases and deaths in Kentucky:
