look i truly understand giving your kids tv or ipad time bc u need a break. i was just in the house w a 4 and 6yr old. 24hrs a day for a week. but its better for their future so we suffering!
buy activities they can do alone or w minimal assistance. great examples are stuff for dramatic play, costumes, fake kitchen and food, cash register etc, or clay and molds, and HELLA art supplies. if kids dont love shit else its to tape some shit together or glue
also set the expectation early and be firm. my shorties have already known aint no tv on school night. one movie on friday night one hr on sat and sunday. its very consistent.
ive prolly broken protocol a few times going through it or deathly ill but the rule is the rule. also trust. trust that your shorty will find sum else to do if they not on electronics. they not gone die lmao
you WILL have to talk to your kids, you will have to read to them etc but overall they will still learn how to play independently w/o tv or tablets. give it time
also PUZZLES. and heres a puzzle hack put all the piece to one puzzle in a ziploc bag so they dont get lost. when its puzzle time teach them to put the pieces back in the bag and zip before moving to the next puzzle.
