it's not immoral to have a line in the sand on what you won't accept from a candidate. there is no benefit to trying to shame someone out of it. opting out isn't a vote for the opposition - it's basically a self-negating half a vote. that's the best you'll get.
nobody is listening when you try to convince an individual made despondent by their choices that they are also Bad People because of their despair. half our country lives in that despair.
i would RATHER people in a swing states pulled the lever for the democrat while fighting to drag the party left but I also understand why they would feel it is pointless or painful to do it and yelling at them won't change their minds
i also wish people would stop trying to convince people that there's no difference between the parties but i won't get in people's faces about it because i don't think it's right but i also don't think it's unreasonable. "competent administration of the FDA" is not compelling.
my point is just this: make the case for your candidate. what positive gain will he bring to people's lives? how? \\
