okay, i’ll just say this:

when a make-up artist does a black-skinned look (aka. blackface) she gets praised and applauded for her work.

when a black-skinned make-up artist appears in her natural skin, she gets racist comments that mock her color.

can you see the problem here?
if you don’t see a problem in blackface it’s because you’re failing to see the racial inequalities within society.

society have always ignored the deep rooted hatred towards dark skin.

so imagine how we feel when some make-up artist wears that color for some likes on instagram.
we refuse to see others be celebrated for the exact same thing we’ve been ridiculed and oppressed all our lives.

the same make-up artist who thought it’s a good idea to wear black skin for few hours would never know how it feels to live as a black person, nor would they want to.
i dunno if i made a good job at explaining my thoughts in this thread, your man is tired and depressed, but i hope y’all understand my point.

peace.
