But they are conflating Sanghis with normal Hindus who are opposed to the RW ideology of the fascist RSS and its affiliates who are part of the ruling party in India. This thread is a sort of primer on the Sangh specifically for the non-Indian Twitter users in the Gulf

Sanghis are characterized by blind faith in the ideology of the RSS that envisages India as a Hindu nation, where Muslims, Christians and other minority groups are outsiders & are viewed as second class citizens. The Indian constitution is anathema to the RSS & the present

RSS govt of Modi is systematically gutting the constitution through nefarious means. The RSS is perhaps one of the most shadowy organisations in the world. Even though it claims to be one of the largest volunteer organisations in the world,

it doesn't maintain any register of members. Nor does it have any formal registration with any legal authorities. This paramilitary organisation works through various informal groups known as Shakhas (branches) that organise various activities in neighbourhoods.

These activities are mostly innocuous such as morning group exercises, yoga classes, religious sermons, management of temple festivals, and several other things done under the guise of voluntary social service that hides a more sinister agenda -

that of injecting a hate-filled ideology based on a virulent, violent form of nationalism. This has led to several instances of RSS members committing heinous acts of violence, the most notorious being the assassination of Gandhi.

Now, most Sanghis would deny that the RSS had anything to do with Gandhi's murder and would unleash a torrent of links (& the usual abuses) to show that Gandhi's killer named Godse had left the RSS before committing the gruesome act of gunning down a frail old man.

This usual defence strategy deployed by the Sangh is aided by the fact that it doesn't maintain any registry of its members - a fact that allows the RSS to function with impunity & allows it to distance itself from inconvenient truths about its antecedents.

Everytime a member commits an act of violence, the Sangh always leans on this defence by disowning the person in question. The RSS is the fountainhead of a network of Hindu Nationalist organisations that share the same ideology. These are collectively referred to as the Sangh Parivar. All these organisations function in various areas & with the same modus operandi of doing social work that serves as

a cover for spreading hate filled propaganda that targets minorities & vulnerable groups in India. For example, take the case of Durga Vahini, an organisation that claims to "bring about a renaissance in the Hindu society with Service" has a disturbing photo of

girls being trained to fire guns on its profile page in the website of the VHP -Viswa Hindu Parishad (World Hindu Council).
