Some rare good news: According to the latest modelling, Northern Ireland& #39;s peak of Covid-19 "may now be less severe than we had feared - in the first wave at least", Health Minister Robin Swann tells the Assembly. He praises most people& #39;s "responsible" approach in heeding advice.
The expectation had been that the peak in NI would be between April 6-20. There are 6 deaths in hospital from Covid-19 in today& #39;s figures (the final figure taking in deaths elsewhere will be higher). Robin Swann says there are no grounds for complacency & people must stay at home
NI Health Minister Robin Swann (who received a threat to his family via social media): "We seem to have a lot of people on Twitter who have secured doctorates in epidemiology in a few short weeks. They are entitled to their opinions. They are not entitled to their own facts."
