Some rare good news: According to the latest modelling, Northern Ireland's peak of Covid-19 "may now be less severe than we had feared - in the first wave at least", Health Minister Robin Swann tells the Assembly. He praises most people's "responsible" approach in heeding advice.
The expectation had been that the peak in NI would be between April 6-20. There are 6 deaths in hospital from Covid-19 in today's figures (the final figure taking in deaths elsewhere will be higher). Robin Swann says there are no grounds for complacency & people must stay at home
NI Health Minister Robin Swann (who received a threat to his family via social media): "We seem to have a lot of people on Twitter who have secured doctorates in epidemiology in a few short weeks. They are entitled to their opinions. They are not entitled to their own facts."
