Alright I& #39;ve watched #Sanditon now. One of my takeaways is this series stands on its own - it takes inspiration from #JaneAusten but she didn& #39;t finish the book so I guess they could take liberties. (1/?)
First of all Mr Stringer (I know he& #39;s a minor character in the book) is just way less complicated as a man. People who lie to me or hurt me are trash and stay in the trash. That& #39;s why I can& #39;t like Sidney Parker. (2/?)
Yeah sure he& #39;s nice to look at, you could cut glass with that jaw line (and those mad V-lines). But if you ever met a man like that in real life, who was just rude to you and made you feel bad about yourself you would fucking run. You should run. (3/?)
I mean I get it. He& #39;s dark, he& #39;s complicated, he& #39;s escapism. But seriously Charlotte has been dragged through the mud and she deserves better. I& #39;d much rather her run off with Susan. At least Susan seems to be looking out for Charlotte& #39;s interests and her goodness. (4/?)
At least Wentworth redeemed himself. There& #39;s no redemption for Sidney Parker. He was selfish to see her one last time and tell her he doesn& #39;t love the woman he& #39;s about to marry - it& #39;s very Willougby-esque in Sense and Sensibility when he comes to Cleveland. (5/?)
It was for selfish gratification. Now Charlotte has that to hold on to so she& #39;s on a string so to speak. You& #39;ve already humiliated her enough, now you want her to pine for you? Grow up. Having said that I really enjoyed Sanditon and am always here for an Austen. (6/7)
I just wanted to vent because everyone I speak to is, "Oh, I love Sidney Parker." I get it and it certainly helps that he& #39;s played by Theo James. But he& #39;s no Darcy or Wentworth.https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="✌" title="Victory hand" aria-label="Emoji: Victory hand">(7/7)
