Yes Lab has & #39;factions& #39;-we& #39;re a party full of people who have strong views on how society should be run, we care.
But what I reject totally is that two & #39;sides& #39; are equally culpable of what happened in the party.
The LabRight ultras are the equivalent of Militant in the 80s [1/n] https://twitter.com/AaronBastani/status/1250401381506260994">https://twitter.com/AaronBast...

I remember the awful period when Kinnock had to deal with Militant. A group that was willing to wreck the party cos it didn& #39;t get its way. I supported him. I wanted a toxic faction stopped in its tracks and removed [2/n]
Now? The LabRight are Militant (and it doesn& #39;t matter that they are from different wings of the party). They have same motives, same willingness to destroy the party to impose their own worldview. They don& #39;t care what damage they might do [3/n]
Remember, from day one, LabRight refused to accept the democratic wishes of Lab members and actively sought to bring down Corbyn and harm our chances. Not so much a faction as a 5th Column. I have never seen anything like it [4/n]
But LabRight actually more dangerous and toxic than Militant. Militant was rightly lambasted by media.
Now? LabRight supported and protected by the right wing media and shamefully the so-called liberal media using McCarthyite tactics to smear good people, stifle defences [5/n]

So, let& #39;s have none of & #39;two factions are just as bad as each other& #39; tosh. LabRight acted as a 5th Column actively trying to bring down Lab and supported Tories.
And it is appalling that liberal establishment helped them in consolidating Tory power - that& #39;s what they did

And now the & #39;Left& #39; is expected to suck it up in interests of unity. Only one side is allowed a defence - if Left defends itself, it& #39;s factionalism, if it& #39;s the Right it& #39;s showing courage against Stalinism. [7/n]
But, we do need to unite. Starmer was elected by the membership. The Left should not copy the Right and work to bring him down/ stop him functioning. I would have same contempt for Left who did that as for the Right who acted as a 5th Column against Corbyn [8/n]
And importantly there are battles to win on policy and values.
Let& #39;s be frank. Right/ Moderates have no ideas about what a better economy/ society should look like. They are all about narrative rather than substance.
The Left has the best ideas. Those ideas need to win [9/9]
