hey, Animal Crossing: New Horizons pals! 🥰 #acnh
i’ve created a list of tips to make more bells 💰
these are things that i do on my island to make money to spend on home expansions and cute bridges - i hope they can help you guys too! 💚

🌸 a thread... 🌻
1.💸Money Trees🌲
once a day you’ll find a shining gold spot on your island, dig it up and you’ll find £1k bells 🙌🏻 according to the internet, the most you can make from money trees is 30k bells, so re-bury a bag of bells worth 10k in the gold spot - do this every day!
2. 🎈Balloons in the Sky🎈
shoot down every balloon you see, because some of them hold £30k bells inside! not only this, but you’ll also get cool DIY recipes, furniture, materials, clothing, aaaaand you’ll earn Nook Miles! 🙌🏻💚
3. 🐚 Sell the Shells 🐚
very simple, just sell every shell you see on your beach! the giant clams are the most profitable 💸 but all are worth money, and you earn Nook Miles for selling them! and don’t forget to use them for DIY recipes too 🌊
4. 🐟 Fish, Fish, Fish! 🦈
again, super simple, fish! there are tonnes of fish all day every day and some of them can fetch a pretty penny 💸 especially look out for sharks (in the summer) and the Coelacanth (when it’s raining) 🌊 plus you gain Nook Miles just for catching them!
5. 🦋 Catch Bugs 🕷
and the same goes for the bugs - catch them all! obviously the big ticket items are the tarantulas & scorpions 🦂 - but a lot of the butterflies and big moths are worth a lot too! 🦋 and, you guessed it, Nook Miles!
6. 💛 C.J and Flick ❤️
make the most of when these dudes come to visit, they’ll pay 1.5x the amount for each fish and bug you sell them! 🙌🏻 they stay until 5am the following morning, and they also make cute (or creepy) collectibles!
7.🧄Turnips!💰
(imagine that’s a turnip), one of the best ways to make bells is to master the stalk market & turn your turnips for a profit! 💸 Daisy-Mae visits every Sunday before noon & sells her turnips for between 90-110 bells.
Nook’s buy the turnips (apart from Sundays)...
...and they have a morning price (before 12pm) and an afternoon price.💰there are turnip patterns you can find explained online, which can help! and you can sell your turnips on other islands, which helps if your pal has a better price than you! max is between 300-600 per turnip!
8. 🕷Tarantula Island🕷
if you’re not lucky enough to fly to the official Tarantula Island during a Nook Mile flight, it’s easy to create one yourself! chop down all trees, dig up the stumps, pick all flowers (not stems), dig holes in diamond shapes to jump between, & catch!🕷
9. 🐝 Don’t get Stung 🐝
wasps and wasps nests are also a good source of money, so master the art of catching them, rather than getting stung! (and Nook Miles are a bonus if you catch 5 in a row with no stinging!) 💰
10. 🛠 Craft & Sell! ⚒
if you’ve got loads of spare materials and you need to make some extra money fast, craft them into furniture and sell them! or, give them to your islanders and sometimes you’ll get bells in return! 💸
11. 🌲 Shake the Trees 🌳
shake the trees every day! you’ll find x2 pieces of furniture, typically 5 wasps nests, the occasional bug, and bells! it may only be 100 bellsper tree, but they soon add up! 💸
12. 🦖 Dig Up Fossils 💰
you should dig up every crack in the ground, but fossils are a great way to make bells! once Blathers has assessed them (and you’ve donated ones your museum is missing!), sell the fossils! there will typically be x4 fossils each day on your island 💰
13.💰Hit the Rocks!⚒
make sure you’re hitting all the rocks on your island each day (only smash if necessary). one will give you bells & the rest will give materials 🙌🏻 for maximum bells, dig two holes behind you so that your player doesn’t move too far away from the rock! 💰
14. 🍑 Selling Fruit 🍎
this is an easy way to make quick bells! & you’ll earn Nook Miles 🙌🏻 plant at least 1 of each kind of fruit on your island & don’t forget your native fruit will sell for more if you visit an island who’s fruit is different! & likewise for your island! 💰
15. 🛠 Craft & Sell the ‘Hot Item’ 💸
every day Timmy and Tommy have a ‘hot item’ they will pay more for 💰 you can find out what it is by asking them or by the board outside their shop - it’s worth making and selling it if you have spare materials! 🙌🏻
so this is all i can think of atm, but if you guys have any other helpful bell making tips, or if i’ve missed any - add them below! 💚
happy money-making, islanders! 😄💰💞
