i've been thinking a lot about this and i've finally come to a conclusion which is this: animal crossing just isn't a very good game
there's too much dialogue, it's too slow, the fishing is too easy, the controls are clunky, the camera angles are frustrating, and who cares about furniture this much????
you can't do anything when you're visiting a friend's island or vice versa, there are two currencies for some reason, everything takes forever, the bees are everywhere but even if you faint you just wake up and there are no consequences
i hate gulliver and i hate the ghost and i HATE blathers
why is there an atm? why can't i just carry my money like any other game? who buys nook branded clothes? why is the only thing in my drop-off box "two rusted parts"?
WHO in their right mind just goes strolling in a video game museum when it takes so long to load between rooms????
if i can't USE the sewing machine why do i have one? why doesn't anything DO anything? what's the point?
the only things i truly enjoy about animal crossing are:
- their cute little voices
- sending my sister postcards that say "poo and pee"
if you really need a soothing game where you grow things and make friends, get stardew valley. it rocks. unlike animal crossing, it's a baby's game: for grown-ups.
