What are your favorite online exercises for Introduction to American Politics? Since some of us will be back at online this summer at least, let's brainstorm and I'll make a list.
Students could play the ReDistricting Game: http://www.redistrictinggame.org to discuss gerrymandering (pair it with this video: )
Students could play Fiscal Ship: https://fiscalship.org to understand tax code and budget priorities (and it comes with teaching ideas!)
Students could take the Pew Ideology quiz - or have a family member/friend take it: https://www.people-press.org/quiz/political-typology/ and compare it to their preferred party platforms to see what matches and what doesn't.
Students could review this list of third parties and see which one they'd vote for if Republicans/Democrats went away: https://www.politics1.com/parties.htm
