Even if you're an #SJW in #comics...you're going to HAVE to live by The #ComicsGate Creed in order to survive the Post-Corona world.

1-No more insulting the customers. Those days are gone.
2-No more preaching morality. You're not a priest or imam, you make comics.

3 - Trump is off limits. You're not Rachel Maddow.
4 - You will make yourself accessible to the fans. You are NOT a Movie Actor, you are not a Rockstar...reply to their tweets, respond to their comments on youtube. Answer their emails. Every conversation is a sale.

5 - Do your best work. Comics ain't cheap anymore, and still people are shelling out 50 dollars for your Graphic Novel. Make sure it's worth the money. You can't phone it in anymore, knowing that even if you do mediocre stuff Marvel will send that check.

6 - No more lynch-mobs and witch-hunts. You're an adult. If somebody has a hot take on your precious Obama years that were filled with golden rays of sunshine...agree to disagree. If they have some jokes about Brie Larson, let it go. Pull up your big boy / big girl pants.

7 - We're not part of your "revolution". Crush Capitalism, Dismantle "White Supremacy" and "Smash The Patriarchy"on your own time...Just sell us comics about heroes and monsters and robots and time-machines and spaceships.

8 - Speak English. We didn't sit next to you in Gender Studies. So all those terms that your liberal professor told you to use for the rest of your life...we don't know them...even if we learned them...we're not obliged to use them in conversation with you.

9 - Make comics so that one day if you're lucky...you'll make comics...Comics is its own industry and (very potent) market. We are not a Stepping stone for you to land a 3 Picture deal with Warner Brothers or Pixar...or Netflix.
Make comics, for the sake of making comics.
