They responded with this.
Receiving this response, for some people I know, would mean that there was nothing else they could do; no point in pursuing the matter.
But me being me, naturally, I was incredulous. What do they mean that there is no termination feature?

Here I tried to get clarification on what exactly they meant by "we do not have the termination feature".
Again, they replied that termination was no option.
Forgive me for my ignorance, but is this normal?
My deleting all that information on the app itself would still mean that they had my IC number, etc. in their databases; further proven by this article on their website.

Hence I decided to refer to the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), because as per their website, they uphold the highest level of integrity by abiding to the Act, right?
This is what I found in Section 38. "Processing" is also defined in Section 4 (Interpretation) of the Act.

(Probably) realising I knew my rights, they immediately terminated my account (read from bottom up).
Success!
So they COULD terminate my account
Checked the app by attempting to log in and there seemed to be no records.

Of course, just by me not being able to log in does not necessarily mean they no longer have my data. At this point though, since I believe that there is no need to pursue the matter further, I'll just have to trust that they did what they said they did.

Lessons learnt:
1. Don't give in so easily.
2. Do your research. Read.
3. Argue when necessary and prove your points with logic and knowledge.
