I was talking with my friend (She's a history lover and fanatic like I am.) and we're talking about the: "20 And Odd Negroes" that came to Jamestown, Virginia. Basically I had to break it down to her, that they were slaves. They didn't arrive as indentured servants.

People need to stop (including my friend) thinking that the Black people in colony of Virginia in the 1600s were indentured servants. That is not true at all. They arrive in that colony already enslaved.
