Yesterday, I had an asthma attack, no big deal - I needed some steroids and my nebuliser, according to the NHS111 website I needed to speak to my GP or to one of their advisors. As it was out of hours my GP was not available.
Their advisor insisted that I have Coronavirus - I do not!

Today, my GP has issued a prescription for steroids and recorded in my notes that I had an asthma attack, and the pharmacy has already delivered my steroids - how many other people have been told they have Coronavirus
when in fact it is not at all Coronavirus?

The wall-to-wall media coverage, the rampant misinformation and the misdiagnosis is making the fear worse.

This fear is the same misplaced fear that the media whip up about terroist attacks, about politicians, about the European Union,
and about any single story, true or untrue that they care to run with.

Where is the coverage of 6.6 million jobs being at risk - these are figures from UK businesses, where is the coverage of up to 9 million people being furloughed or the complete failure of holding the
government to account (on any issue) - remember Boris Johnson saying we “will take it on the chin”? He meant so what if people die! He never expected that he might come close to dying, he meant the “plebs”!

It is time for the media to be responsible for their actions, their
bias, false information and inappropriate reporting.

It is time for a fully funded NHS that has access to all of the resources it needs, at all times. There should never be a situation where NHS Trusts have to be bailed out financially or emergency cash has to be given to the
NHS every winter.

It is time for politics to be cleaned up. The executive needs to be accountable and it needs to be held to account. Parliament needs to be fully functioning and wholly democratic, with fixed term parliaments, proportional representation electoral systems used
to elect members to both houses and we need a written constitution that clearly sets out powers, responsibilities and limitations.

Coronavirus has not broken the UK, the UK was already broken, the Coronavirus pandemic has highlighted our broken system and highlighted the
urgent need for a comprehensive root and branch remodel of the UK economic and political systems.

I do not have Coronavirus, but I will be included in the official figures due to a computer program deciding that I do.
