I have been cursing Diego Costa's name about once every 2 minutes here at home during this Quarantine, this is a thread on why:

I started a FIFA20 Player Career as a CF for Leeds. My player's called "Dag" Rama and is a long haired beared Aussie loose bloke(with low socks ofc). Short, stocky and fast as hell. Went out on loan to League One, climbing in rating and banging in a fair amount of goals.

Was rated about a 76 when I returned to Leeds in the summer, they'd been promoted to the PL and I took my chances when given, but most of the opposition's slightly too good for Leeds to really compete so it's hard work, it's especially tough as I was the solo striker

With very few runs in behind from teammates to play through balls to(basically all I do well in FIFA) I have a hard time assisting. Dagz scores a few goals though. Managed to work up to an 82 rating or so by christmas, mostly focused on pace, shooting, short passing and dribbling

At the end of the January window a £30m offer for me comes in from Atletico Madrid and I think to myself that playing in a 4-4-2 w/ João Félix could work pretty great and I immediately accept the offer. We have a generally great spring and a wonderful striker partnership blossoms

I find the fast Félix with through balls and he's a great passer of the ball in return. The only times we have trouble scoring is when Simeone somehow elects to play Diego Costa(rated 80) as my striking partner instead, who's 33 at this stage and moves like tractor stuck in mud,

his passing is absolutely horrendous and basically all he can do is shoot & head the ball. When I lead the line I have to hold the ball up for ages to wait for him to come into position. Extremely frustrating, but luckily I don't have to play w/ Costa for more than 4 or 5 games.

Dag scores 12-13 goals(with even more assists!) during the spring and one of the goals is even in the Champions League final against Liverpool. Atleti scrapes through it barely and wins! Dag gets up to an 85 rating and I'm hyped to see if we can win La Liga next season.

Pre-season looks good, Atleti win the European Supercup and Dag's on 86 and Joao Felix is 87, this is looking like it could be great partnership for years to come.

Just as the season is about to start, a news ticker comes up with João Félix in a Dortmund shirt! WTF?!

He's been sold? Why!? Oh well, I figure maybe Simeone will bring in another ST, since the transfer £ must be huge. For the first games of the season, I'm partnered with Diego Costa again and it's a real slog, all the games are either draws(including v Mallorca) or barely won 1-0.

I curse his name loudly every time he misplaces that key pass or runs into a CB to lose possession. Or when offering absolutely zero passing options for me. All the zip and fun of the game has gone out of it, I'm considering leaving...

But I'm desperately hoping that Simeone will bring another striker in because of the rapid drop in goals, and on transfer deadline day the new striker is finally announced! It's...

Gonzalo Higuaín! The fat mess that's even older, slower and worse at passing than Diego Costa is! I've played a few more games since and I find myself so frustated I'm yelling out loud. I've been looking up dribbling tutorials on youtube because I'm so isolated up there ffs.

Genuinely don't think I'm going to be playing FIFA anymore, all thanks to Diego Costa. I hate him more than when he played for Chelsea. Thanks for listening and letting me get that off my chest. I'll be spending the rest of my week murdering peasants in Mount & Blade II instead.
