There were disturbing reports yesterday that the PM’s former cycling tsar - Andrew Gilligan - was ringing round laboratories trying to sort out Covid tests!
Why on earth would this be necessary if this mission critical project was being run efficiently?

When Hancock talked about “straining every sinew” I don’t think any of us actually thought he was doing it himself.
What is going on? Is HMG literally coordinating the UK’s response *themselves* ? Where is the professional crisis management team?
