Stanley Tshabalala
The father of shoe shine and piano. Perfected Brazilian style of play accompanying it with 9 trophies. He did his job from 1984-1993.

After Screamer, in came Stan Lapot assisted by Trott Moloto.

It was a disaster under this coach. Coached in first PSL season which was eventually won by Manning Rangers.

Sundowns won 13/34 league matches under him.

May he continue to RIP.

Master Ted Dumitru 97/98 & 98/99
Restored pride for the yellow fan base. Balanced first team with proper development structures that saw the likes of Bernard Parker, Tso Vilakazi, OJ Mabizela coming through. Won back to back league titles.

Mr "it's criminal"

Dolezar won the league (making Sundowns win it 3 times in row) and the Rothmans Cup (which Sundowns lost 2 times in row).

Year 2000, came a man with international recognition having successfully led the Super Eagles of Nigeria to Olympic glory, Clemens Westerhof. Was in charge for only 4 months. Natasia axed him.

Next, Theodore returned. Took us to our first CAFCL final in 2001.

If you thought Theodore's return was gonna be the only one, nope, you thought wrong, Mr "it's criminal" returned also.

Next came Oscar Fullone to stabilize the merry-go-round of coaches... Sadly, it didn't stop.

In 2003, came Khabo Zondo from Golden Arrows, to handle the final 6 months, as the fan base was boiling...

Khabo did... just enough, but not well enough to take the post permanently.

Then there was plenty of unrest amongst the fan base. The Krok family and the Tschiclas family finally gave Dr Motsepe 100% of stake, as he was prepared to stabilize the club and put it back to the level Zola Mahobe made it out to be, combining it with Ted & Screamer's successes.

First came Angel Cappa. In press conference, Dr Motsepe said, "when Diego Maradona was asked who was his favorite coach he answered, Angel Cappa..."

Man had nearly 40 players at his disposal. Had Team A and Team B.

Next, 2004/05 season saw the terrible twins. They delivered the title. Both wanted to take credit for it and as for who was more in charge, Neil Tovey and Miguel Gamondi.

Motsepe released both of them despite the success. 'Felt' they should go and be matured.

Next, 2005/06 came the most successful league winning coach in the PSL, having won it with Rangers, Pirates & Santos. Yep! Won it again with Sundowns. Infamous for 'skop & donor' type of football, he shocked SA with carpet football at Sundowns... and the famous 44 passes.

Next, Trott Moloto followed as he always does, on a caretaker basis...

Dr Motsepe immediately went for another big name after the fan base was having none of it at the stands. He went for Henri Michel.

The French man shocked SA when he said, Sundowns 'so called' superstars don't know the ABCs of football. Poor results kept on coming.

May he RIP.

2009 Theodore came back again to sturdy the ship.

Motsepe went to Barcelona this time to ask for a coach. Barcelona gave the name, the man named 'christ' by his parents, Hristo Stoichkov. Shocked SA as well for saying Motsepe is a problem at Sundowns.

Under him, the club was back to playing well, and signing "well"

Trapattoni came back again... Won the Nedbank cup.

Then... Antonio Habas Lopez from Hristo's assistant to coach. He "apparently" was hired on recommendation by some of some senior players that he "did" all the coaching during Hristo's time at the club.

He caught hands and left...

Next, former Cape Town Spurs lethal striker, Ian Gorowa, followed. Oh well, that how far it went...

Next, Motsepe went back to Barcelona and asked for another coach. Barcelona answered and sent Johan Neeskens, a top coach who believed in youth. Ted's dream of using youngsters was coming to life again. Who can forget record 24-0 win against Powerlines.

Finally, Motsepe said enough is enough. December 2012 he heard a certain coach was fired at SAFA. He went for him. 7 years later delivered 4 league titles, CAFCL, CAFSC, TelkomKO x2, & Nedbank Cup. Equalled Screamer Tshabalala's record in less time. Stands a chance to break it.
