The pressure on our networks has increased substantially as more and more people use data and voice services (Calls & SMSs) while working from home, but @NgComCommission has already approved the sharing of resources between operators if and when necessary.
Some of us think the free SMS is worthless because we all have the capacity to own smartphones and afford data, but I've learnt that many of @mtnng customers are feature phone users so while access to SMS services might not be what everyone wants, it's vital to all subscribers.
Think about it, at 4 Naira per SMS, MTN is giving each customer N1200, which is approximately 1.5G data. So that means the company can afford to substitute the SMS for data and give free data to all its customers. But that will have a significant impact on the network and the....
Most important thing now is to keep the network running. I came across this BBC link where Netflix has been instructed to reduce the quality of the video streamed on their platforms because of the worldwide increase in data usage, which no network anywhere really prepared for.
About the #5GInNigeria. As at now, 5G is not in Nigeria, and does not cause the Coronavirus.

Basically, the licencing for 5G does not exist so no infrastructure can be deployed without @NgComCommission's approval.
