- Socialite, actress, painter
- Married Belfast-born John Lavery in 1909
- The Laverys lent their palatial house in South Kensington to an Irish delegation led by Michael Collins during negotiations for the Anglo-Irish Treaty in 1921
- Corresponded with many famous figures of the time including Shaw, Churchill and Yeats
- Her portrait by John featured on all Series A banknotes from 1928 until 1976
- From 1976 to 2001, the Lady Lavery portrait from Series A, was retained as a watermark on Series B/C banknotes

Had some thoughts as to whether she was wearing socks/slip-ons or was supposed to be barefoot like Flora was in the painting, but they looked to be socks/slip-ons on closer examination so left them as white
