One month into new quarantine life, I'm really appreciating how much I was able to travel last year. If you're looking to live vicariously through some storytelling and pictures for a bit, here's a thread.

Somewhere outside San Pedro de Atacama, Chile.
I'd just finished traveling across the Bolivian salt flats with a group of people I'd met in La Paz, and decided to spend the day exploring with a couple of girls I met at our hostel. One was a student from Belgium, the other a chef from Italy.
I don't remember the Belgian one's name 😬, but the Italian one was named Chiara. She took this picture as well. We basically just left town on foot and explored for about 8 hours, finding little gems like this.
This was a candid shot I got of Chiara, which prompted the returned favor at the beginning of this thread.
This place felt like Mars. The world-famous star gazing lived up to the hype.
This went on for seemingly days too. Most of the last two days coming from Uyuni were the same kinds of views.
Not much living out here, but you meet the occasional local
Or fellow travelers
Sometimes you just find signs of life
Sometimes you're the sign
Good company makes a world of difference. So. Much. Wine.
Turns out wine bottles there are hard to open
No seriously
Hope you enjoyed this story. This was just a period of ~5 days, but in hindsight feels like it was a lot longer. Even this feels like I've just skimmed the details :)
