Jimi Disu's disconnect from social reality is mind boggling: 'If you don't have water, sorry but water cannot be provided now. Let's all just stay calm."

And then in another breath, he wonders why teenagers are joining gangs all over Lagos.

Can't you see there is a nexus?
Many educated middle class Nigerians still don't get this: our poorest people are not strangers to death and disease. Suffering has always been their reality. You cannot scare them into staying at home because they were never living in safety all the time YOU were safe.
This is not a case of they don't believe in coronavirus or they believe they are safe from the virus. Imagine Jimi Disu saying "This is a time for you to find a way to survive" without water or food.

Ok, they will find a way to survive - by eating the middle class, not the rich.
And this is the irony: Tinubu (and the other political elites) still have the resources to control the angry crowd when they show up at Bourdillon.

But when they show up at your street in Surulere or Lekki to eat you, please what will you do? Call police?
