THREAD on the big headline released by Mundo Deportivo today and why you SHOULD NOT read too much into it.

For starters Mundo Deportivo are very close to the board. In fact I would go as far as to say they're puppets of the board and will try their best to defend Bartomeu and his Board of directors. Especially at a time like this

It's also very clear that by stating this big headline quote from Rousaud they're trying sweep these allegations against under the carpet and brand Rousaud as a liar by using his own quote against him.

Rousaud himself admitted that he had no evidence of someone dipping into the clubs finances and that he regretted the way he phrased his words. However that doesn't mean that Bartomeu and his board are innocent. Rousaud still claims that there is corruption within the club.

He believes that, there was "corruption" from the moment "a contract was cut with amounts of 198,000 euros to avoid control of the club itself and the board"

What he means by this is that from the moment the 1 million Euros the board paid to I3 ventures was split into 198,00 euros for the smaller companies in order to go unnoticed in the club's finances that in itself is corruption.

"What we already know is already very serious."  "I am not aware that the services were hired to slander third parties, but we can clearly say that we are facing a case of corruption for avoiding control of the club."

Long story short MD and most likely SPORT will use Rousaud 's quote to try and clear the image of Bartomeu and his board but don't believe everything you read from them concerning this scandal as a lot of it will involve bias in order to protect Bartomeu
