trans friends has anyone elses views on their own orientation changed after realizing they were trans?? i used to think i was a lesbian because i hated the idea of dating men but once i realized i was trans i was like "you mean i can be a boy's boyfriend? yes pls"

like looking back on it i never had any sort of attraction to women; i guess if i knew about aroace identities at the time i wouldve identified with that but i guess i thought i was obligated to one or the other?? now im just like "yup i like kissing boys but now im also a boy"

also internalized heteronormativity comes differently to me... instead of it being like "i need to like women because society says men need to like women" its more of "i need to like women because if i want to be seen as a man by society i need to date women"
