Put it this way: the G League is a more athletic, and more talented league than the NBL. Consensus top-five recruit R.J. Hampton just struggled quite a bit adjusting to the NBL. Consensus top-15 recruit Terrance Ferguson struggled.

It’s a risk to go that route for a teenager.

I’m not even saying some of these kids won’t be successful, either. Jalen Green, if he decides to go that route when he announces, will probably be okay. He’s awesome. But I think even the majority of five stars probably aren’t ready for the G League.
