as an old in terms of like new cool music trends, it's difficult to make it clear just how much my excitement is not just "oh kids doing a cool thing" and is more like, there are people younger than me who have this deep drive to make something that is new and full of life.
100 gecs, fraxiom, william crooks, lewis grant, that robin/murder club, people in the nether meant show, are all part of this group of people who are smooshing things together in ways that I find really inspiring. it's not an intellectual attempt to complicate things,
it feels like an expression of people exposed to SO MUCH at once and combining things to make it all their own.
