I found out from my sister today that my step-nephew was tested for COVID-19 and received the antibody test.
Good news. He tested negative for the COVID, but tested positive for the antibody test.
So, he is in the VA National Guard and was activated several weeks ago.

He was released recently and in order to go back into the general population, he had to have the antibody test and get swabbed.
He was asymptomatic when he got tested.
My sister said the last time he was really REALLY sick was back in January for two weeks.

She suspects maybe it might have been COVID back in January. 
Anyways, idk if that's all 50 states that does this with the Guard or Reserves? Or if his unit was an isolated case. Anyone know?

I'm glad they found it necessary to test him before being allowed back in the civilian world. I'm glad they tested him for antibodies. His roommate was also tested.
That's being proactive.

If I have an exposure, I can't get tested, much less get an antibody test. I will only get tested if I show symptoms.
If we want to beat this, we need to be as proactive.
Test everyone. Isolate the positives. Test for antibodies. Let's actually study and track this virus!

I'm glad my nephew is OK and healthy today. If he DID have this virus back in January like my sister suspects, it's just further proof to me our country fucked up handling this virus big time.
