A friend's mother died on Sunday. Today we talked about what it was like to be assigned a parking stall alongside other families so she could retrieve her belongings in biohazard bags. She reserved a space on a truck to Vermont because cremation services in NY are at capacity.
I should note that I shared this with permission - and I will pass along all of your kind messages (thank you). I'm in awe of the toughness she's shown in all of this. It feels surreal to know how many others there are facing the same circumstances.

Stay home people. Please.
