The next couple of months will see us being bombarded with more bad news & information than we& #39;re used to. This can easily and understandably mess you up mentally, but it doesn& #39;t have to. THREAD on how to manage your head space (in circumstances you can& #39;t control)...
Let me start by saying that anxiety & worry are two themes that have permeated my whole life, to the point where I& #39;ve had to get professional help to manage both...
Although practising what I& #39;ve learned while living away from home for school has helped a lot, I& #39;ve never been a happy-go-lucky, carefree person, and likely never will be. My name ain& #39;t "worrier princess" for nothing. Follow me...
1. Have a cut off time for watching/reading news reports. That means no medsing ANYTHING virus-related after that time. It& #39;s one thing to stay informed, but information overload can fuel your irritability & worry, & you may not know it. Once 8 p.m. come (for me), mi cut dat fuck.
2. Keep yourself occupied after your cut off time (don& #39;t watch sumn like World War Z or Outbreak, PLEASE). Listen to your favourite music. Chat fuckery or throw shade with a friend. Watch couple cartoon. Bun game. S̶t̶a̶r̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶a̶s̶s̶i̶g̶n̶m̶e̶n̶t̶

3. Take stock of the positives in your life (as corny as it sounds, it helps). Are you living in your own property or the family home? Good. Are you in a position to buy food for at least one week? Even better. Can you work from home and/or otherwise earn money now? Great.
