now that we're talking about the same thing, i think buddies should take consideration of pros and cons of the last cb.

– a thread of my opinions about the concept issues
the last cb surely got the hype it deserves. we managed to trend them inside top 5 of worldwide trends in consecutive days, gave them 2m+ views on teasers in just 24 hours, and etc. the 1st day of the mv views too is kinda decent knowing about yt's new policy. +
crossroads mv too is now their most liked mv, surpassing 750k likes. we managed to win 7 trophies too on music shows.

now the issue i see yall are talking about on my tl is about their charts, unique listeners, stagnant sales, and the concept. +
ngl, their first 24-hour count of unique listeners was kinda lower than their past cb.

sunrise - 233k
fever - 237k
crossroads - 168k(?)

and the sad thing here is that, most of the intl fans weren't able to do something with it since these numbers depends on kr fans/local gp +
the pretty good thing is that their album sales did not go lower than their last album fever season, but it showed no growth (excluding the full album sales last year). now that i'm seeing fans talk about the concept change, i kinda agree with it. +
don't get me wrong, most of my close moots know i'm such an akgae of their sentimental songs especially noh ju-hwan's trinity. but i'm not gonna be selfish, i want the girls to experience again the same thing they experienced during 2016. +
it actually hurts as buddy that they're not being invited in big award shows, though we all know they deserve it bcs of their uniqueness and talents. +
the thing about the concept is that their current main concept (which is passionate melancholy, 2015-2017 main is power innocence) doesn't attract new fans. their concept were not always the same, they even had power chic, power refreshing, and passionate sophistication. +
my point here now is, there are some inside the fandom that doesn't want any change (just wanting to stay with their main concepts) while there are some that fully supports any concept they pull. +
actually, i don't mind any songs they release since i know they're gfriend. i trust them. they already proved they're musically heavy group so if they'll do some mainstream kind of song to attract the public, i honestly don't care. as long as they love the way they promote it. +
but knowing it's gfriend, of course they'll put their own flavor with it. now my point here is that the possible concept for their next cb in summer would totally be different since they hinted us that crossroads was the beginning, meaning they'll be directing to another path. +
what i hope is that no matter what it will be, we'll still keep hyping it. again, this is just my own opinion, idc if you'll be against with me. just wanted to speak all of these up bcs i feel like these things make sense hhhsjs
