The @SBAgov released state-level data today for the Paycheck Protection Program. We are collecting and analyzing relevant data to understand what’s happening for businesses in our region. 1/6
First, in Ohio, the SBA has approved 38,016 #PPP loans for a total value of nearly $10.4 billion. Those both rank as the 6th highest of any state in the country. The average loan amount is $272,750, which is 11th highest in the nation. #InThisTogetherOhio 2/6
In Kentucky, there have been 17,216 loans totaling about $3.3 billion. Those rank 25th and 28th respectively. The average amount is $193,797, which ranks 35th. #TogetherKY @SBA_Kentucky 3/6
And in Indiana, 23,583 loans have been approved for just under $6 billion. That puts Indiana at 18th and 15th, respectively. Average loan amount is $253,830, which ranks 16th in the country. #InThisTogether @SBA_Indiana 4/6
Nationally, the SBA has approved over 1 million loans totaling $247.5 billion. That’s over two-thirds of funding Congress approved in the CARES Act accounted for in less than two weeks of the PPP program coming online. 5/6
