Gov. Dunleavy's Tuesday COVID update is underway. Today he's going to roll out his plans to reopen "certain sectors of the economy."

He says it'll take a while to get back to normal, noting there are somethings that "we may never get back to." Like shaking hands.

Dunleavy on fishing: The answer is, yes, people can fish for sport and personal use and there's an encouragement to stay as close as home to possible but it's not a mandate.

Dunleavy is going over some of the economic reopening plans. The first on the list: Alcohol available through curbside pickup and delivery.

And he's also planning on easing rules on elective procedures and other elements of the health care industry that had been put on hold.

He says nothing has changed, though, regarding social distancing orders and other elements aimed at curbing the spread of COVID-19.

Also, if you really want to go mad, take a look at the comments in the live stream.
Dunleavy says "This is not a full blown open, everything's back to normal. That's not the case. But we feel we've done a pretty good job with the numbers. It's not like we're rewarding ourselves. It's more along the lines of we're doing the right thing."

"... and have the capacity to reopen the economy." #akleg #akgov
In case you were wondering, Dunleavy made no mention of reopening the professional wrestling industry in Alaska.

Said additional industries will be addressed in the future.

Zink says Alaska's doing pretty well but that Nebraska and Oregon are among those doing better.

(AKA: The only three states I've lived in since the 4th grade. Coincidence?!??!)

Comments section be like:
But otherwise, it's pretty hot garbage. A lot of folks who think it's a hoax, that it ONLY affects the elderly and sick and SEVERAL people who wonder about where they can get a hair cut.
As for the haircut, one person suggests getting your own clippers another suggests getting a flowbee.

It's, unfortunately, about 50/50 whether people think Dr. Zink is a boring nerd or an awesome nerd.
(For the record, I'm on the awesome nerd side of things).

She's currently talking about a new bundle of data that the state/CDC is releasing about COVID-19 and infection rates.

She says the big problem with COVID-19 is the long incubation period.
