Seeing all these graduation posts lately lol in my family when you’re done, you go to our grandmother and receive a blessing for the next part of your life. Then you offer your cap or your high school tie to her for her to hang on the wall. If yours is not there, you’re not a fav
When I finished high school my grandmother was sick in hospital and recorded her blessing for me. I cried my ass off because she said it could be the last blessing she gives to one of her grandchildren before she dies, she was in critical condition & I was in tears at leavers
Luckily she survived, and she gave me an in person blessing. It was so special, especially since she had given me blessings before every school year. It sounds stupid but I fully believe that her blessings are the ones that helped get me through times when I wanted to drop out.
Also these blessings don’t just happen to anyone of her grandchildren. She wishes them well but if you spent quality time with her, looked after her, and visited her often she would actually pray over you. She’s only been to one graduation, my older brothers. That never happens.
