Had to go to CVS today to get a prescription. While I was there I saw something absolutely miraculous that not only made my day but the day of everybody else who saw it.
An elderly woman in front of me in line was buying milk and coffee and some medicine for her husband had just finished telling the cashier that she spent the entire morning crying. The cashier asked why (as if anyone needs a reason right now).
She said she had lost her credit card, was going to have to order a new one and didn’t know how, and was afraid to tell her husband. I can completely understand how the loss of a credit card during this time could completely overwhelmed someone. Particularly someone elderly.
Then something insane happens. The cashier is like, “What’s your name?” The woman tells her and, no joke, this cashier turns, opens a safe and produces this woman’s credit card. There are tears of joy. The cashier tells her, “Your ok. It’s fine now.”
The rest of us in the line were like what just happened?! When I got up there I told the cashier I’m like you’re a hero. How did you even think to look there? She was like I have no idea.
Then some woman walked up and yelled at everybody for there not being any rubbing alcohol.
