Hi, I made the questionable decision to watch It Chapter 2 tonight with @hannahvwarren, so this will probably be a long thread about how much i hate this movie

I hate this beginning so much! I actually tore the chapter out of my cheap-ass paperback copy of IT in order to make a dress out of it for a queer dance party, and wish I could do the same with this film

Okay, but I do love this scene with Eddie and driving in New York

Possibly just because I like driving in New York and also yelling at other drivers

Like, not only does this movie not work on its own, it goes back and breaks a ton of the rules that it set up in the the first film. So much retconning.

Man, @TheRotund made such a good point that this film's preview was so much better than the movie. Like, they could not contain their bullshit in a full length film, but in two minutes? Great.

I forgot how much this movie hates fat people. Also gay people, old women, and the disabled.

And then tries to end on an upbeat "we're all losers! be yourself!" note from the guy who committed suicide.

Oh, also Black people and Native Americans

Please just make this into a romantic horror movie with Eddie and Richie and Ben's abs
