We’ve heard some concerns around Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). I want to thank my colleague @KayceeMaduYEG for working to address this. Our purchasing & preparation success means we have ample supply in Alberta. 1/4 https://www.alberta.ca/release.cfm?xID=70092C9A6B991-C98C-455D-25BD32050DA99A83
More than 1,500 orders of PPE are being sent out, including:
1M masks & gloves to 400 municipal first responders agencies,
1.5M masks to 941 long term care, designated supportive living, and addiction & mental health facilities,
147K masks and 2.4M gloves to pharmacies. 2/4

@AHS_media is supplying physician offices via Primary Care Networks. Non-AHS facilities, such as pharmacies, disability service providers, social service & civil society groups, & independent medical clinics, can submit requests for PPE by email: pessecc-logistics@gov.ab.ca. 3/4
Many organizations have already received supply shipments over the past weeks. Based on modeling data, with current supply stockpiles and more shipments on the way, I want to reassure Albertans, that our province is well-stocked and well prepared. 4/4
