Every year in the NFL Draft there a prospects that slip through the cracks; players that deserve more recognition, but simply don& #39;t get it because of the sheer number of eligible players. San Jose State QB Josh Love fits that criteria. A thread...
Josh Love may not the be 1st round QB that everyone loves, but he has traits to warrant more buzz. For example, he can hit tight windows and throw with anticipation. If you slow this clip down you will see he starts his throwing motion before the receiver cones into the frame.
He can also throw under pressure. Sure this isn& #39;t a very far throw, but the defender is right in his face and he hits the receiver in stride and it goes for a huge gain.
How about accuracy? I raise you two clips of Love connecting with his receivers on back shoulder throws. Part 1:
Part 2:
Last but not least, can he throw deep? Yes. He might not have the strongest arm in the group, but he has enough strength to get the job done. Part 1:
I& #39;m not QB guru, but I actually am under the impression that is mechanics aren& #39;t perfect. It doesn& #39;t look like he gets proper weight transfer from his back foot to his front foot. If he can master this he might gain more arm strength Part 2:
In conclusion: I& #39;m not saying Josh Love is this can& #39;t miss prospect, but do I see him as a QB you could develop? Absolutely.
