Should you do y when you have trouble sleeping?

If the intent is to make yourself sleep then don’t do y. In this case you’ve created a sleep effort which always backfires. Because the you try the less you sleep.

If the intent is to be happy, do y!

What would be better for your sleep, a or b?

First, see tip 2/4 and make sure neither a or b is a sleep effort.

Next know that whether you do a or b doesn’t really matter. Pick on and stick with it.

Pondering whether to do a or b is the problem!

Does insomnia cause z?

Probably not. But there’s really no evidence. And it doesn’t matter.

What matter is that if you thing insomnia causes z, then it will feel important to sleep. And the more pressure to sleep, the less Zzzs!
