Why is it schools are still being called safe environments & advice is that children are unlikely spreaders, yet it’s essential kids don’t visit their grandparents, aunts/uncles, cousins or friends to minimize risk? If kids are a danger to family, why not to teachers and staff?

Is it then safe for me to drop my daughter to a friends place for an play date as long as myself and the other parents don’t interact with each other?

Or is the economy and people returning to work more important than the well being of teachers and school staff, as well as school age parents and kids?

To be clear... teachers are heroes and they should be valued, respected and paid more - this covid situation aside.

Parks are closed because of all the adults that play on the equipment I suppose?
